This course is exclusively designed for civilian participants.
The International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, Inc. (IALEFI) provides professional training to eligible armed professionals, certified firearms instructors and defense-minded persons. The Personal Defense Program is focused on those who recognize the necessity to protect themselves or loved ones. This “Shoot to Live” course is handgun focused and is not a beginner’s course.
Different proven methodologies will be used to enhance the skills of participants in firearm operation and mindset development. Hands-on skills will progress from instructional fight basics to the more complex and all participants regardless of skill level will find themselves challenged. Practical exercises will place an emphasis on identifying potential threats, avoiding confrontation, and winning if the need is unavoidable. The most important experience will be the development of the instructional fight mind-set.
Throughout this program, participants will experience a number of teaching methods designed to improve performance and standing. The information presented will prove especially useful in creating a positive training experience that will ultimately result in greater learning and safety.

Student Equipment Requirements:
1) Pistol, 2 magazines preferred if semi, and secure holster – 150 rounds training ammo.
2) Wrap around eye protection, ear protection and brimmed hat. Range appropriate apparel.
3) Hydration fluids and snacks
